In Cappoquin recently at the launch of the Wonder Wander Walking Trails, Deputy Mayor of Waterford City and County, Cllr Declan Doocey, spoke about the historic shopfronts, which are the best in the county and referenced the ornamental details such as shamrocks and flowers which are carved into the woodwork.
It is hoped that Cappoquin Library will be operational by the end of April, however, no commitments were made on the matter, as the library continues to face an extended closure 'due to works'.
An emerging preferred route is to be publicly announced in relation to the Mallow to Dungarvan greenway in March of this year, followed by public consultation in April, according to council officials.
