The council will debate the housing budget for next year

The council opposition has proposed measures aimed at reducing water consumption across the city’s 7,000 council homes in their amendment to next year’s housing budget.
Cambridge City Council will be debated and determined at the Housing Revenue Committee meeting on Thursday.
The Liberal Democrat opposition will propose a project that allows tenants to conserve water.
Housing spokesperson Cllr Anthony Martinelli said: “We know there is intense pressure on water in our region, which is one of the driest in the county.
