Cllr Geoff Fellows A BOROUGH councillor says accusations of him flouting coronavirus rules are inaccurate. In a post on the Penketh FACT Checker Facebook group, it was claimed Cllr Geoff Fellows (IND – Penketh and Cuerdley) ‘blatantly flouted’ the rules. It added: “Hunting down a stranger to her home to give her some flowers without knowing her name, address or advising of his visit. “This sort of behaviour is not acceptable but there is no formal party to report it to. “This is selfish and irresponsible behaviour in an attempt to electioneer. Local councillors are not above the law.”
Gareth and Anthony Wilde run The Grime Brothers cleaning service. But following last week s devastating flooding, the brothers have been knocking on stranger’s doors offering their service for free to dry out their homes. They have specialist equipment that hoovers away any excess water and are offering their time to anyone who needs it. Co-founder Gareth, 27 said: “We are just wanting to help those who are vulnerable in any way we can. Even if it is just filling up a skip for someone or helping them dry out their floors. We just want to help. “We are doing it between jobs, and we are happy to come and help anyone who is in need.
