And four others have been indicted by a grand jury for what unfolded in Southern Nevada nearly two years ago. Dave Courvoisier the cattle rancher led a fight over land and cattle against the federal government. Vanessa murphy has interviewed him several times in the past and is in the newsroom with this new development. Vanessa Murphy i asked cliven bundy twice recently if he was worried about getting arrested. He claimed he wasnt doing anything wrong. But his fight against the federal government has caught up with him. Bundy, two of his sons and two other men were indicted by a federal grand jury on sixteen felony charges earlier today. In court documents, bundy is referred to as the main leader of the fight over land and cattle in april of 2014. Bundy ignored court orders and wasnt paying fees to use land in bunkerville, the bureau of Land Management organized an bundy and the four others indicted here are accused of spreading false information and rallying hundreds of armed follower
This is the office that manages the hoover dam. Law enforcment sources indicate that one focus of this probe is a contract to manage the sale of electricity from the dam. The 30 Year Contract expires in 2017 so an Audit Committee was set up to review the operation. The contract to conduct that audit was worth about a Million Dollars. The person who chaired that Audit Committee worked in this same bureau office. His name is frederick leavitt, but he goes by rick. This is his home in henderson and it too was visited by agents this morning. They were seen carting material out of the house.
