The rhythmic pounding of student drums punctuated the constant din provided by cars on the nearby freeway. It was a soundtrack of sorts for the most thrilling of conclusions at The Howard School’s soccer field. A few seconds later, the great striker blasted a low shot to the far left corner and began to deservedly celebrate tying the region championship.
Vyizigro s Hat-Trick Sends Howard to 4AA Championship Tuesday, May 18, 2021 - by Joseph Dycus - photo by Greg Davick Amos Vyizigro is a bonafide shotmaker who can bang in goals from any angle; from the side, with his head, and yes, even upside down! The striker has collected a gaggle of great ones this season, but they pale in comparison to the stunner he shoe’d in during Howard’s 5-0 region 4AA blowout against visiting Sequoyah. After two shots had been deflected in the 12th minute, Vyizigro flipped backwards and used his right leg to bicycle kick the second rebound into the net, the ball rocketing far past the keeper’s mitts and pushing Howard’s lead to 2-0.

Clisman Ramirez-Escobar and his partner in attack Amos Vyizigiro put on a two man show for Howard in the District 8AA championship game against Red Bank. The Tigers scored three goals in the first half and the pair combined on all of them.
The Tiger attack came out swinging on Thursday night, after just two minutes Vyizigiro struck a hard shot from outside the 18-yard box, really testing Red Bank keeper Owen Tate for the first time. That shot led to a corner kick, which Ramirez-Escobar took and smashed into the crossbar.
