ESPN College GameDay was in Athens, Georgia last week, and while the Bulldogs ran all over Ole Miss, cast member Pat McAfee drew a personal foul penalty.
But something really good happened locally Wednesday. Something really good.
The interim tag was removed from Josh Brooks’ title over at the Butts-Mehre building. He is now officially the Reid J. Parker Director of Athletics at the University of Georgia, hallowed be thy name. Thank you, Dr. Jere Morehead, and anyone else who might have played a role in the decision to keep this damn good dog in our kennel.
I like Josh Brooks for a lot of reasons. Primary among them is the fact that there is nothing not to like about Josh Brooks. He is good people. He is one of us. He understands our passion and he hurts when we lose, just like we do. He bleeds red when he cuts himself shaving.
