iraq veterans, and part of it is the vietnam veterans sort of moving out of their careers and needing to rely on the suspect. you could see the democracy brafk graphics and you need to put your people on the problem to get our veterans into the system. spoker john boehner responding to the news earlier today said this. his resignation, though, does not absolve the president of his responsibility to step in and make things right for our veterans. business as usual cannot continue. we obviously all agree. business cannot continue. does president obama share some of the responsibility and some of the blame for this? i wouldn t really go that far. i think that what we need is a set of eyes now that can go in and fix the broken places to move the system forward, to lou the claims to go forward, to allow people access to v.a. medical care. it s pretty good care.
hillary clinton s book doesn t come out until june 10th but we re getting insight into the message the former secretary of state wants to send. politico obtained her 34-page chapter on benghazi, libya, where four americans were killed. her tone in recounting the events is described as defiant, yes republicans leading the congressional investigation you get a shout-out. don t worry. brianna keilar is here with more. the rollout of this book including the leak seems quite methodical. certainly. certainly convenient for hillary clinton in that this dispenses with some of the benghazi hoopla before her book comes out in a week and a half. it makes it old news by now, but for now it s getting a lot of attention. weeks before hitting bookshelves, fireworks are erupting from a leaked memoir. in a section about her time at the state department, clinton slams republicans saying their
how convenient of her. but where is her responsibility on this? remember, that facility was attacked twice before. to claim ignorance and nonparticipation doesn t give us a whole lot of assurance either. who is making the decisions? not a single person was ever fired or released in relation to benghazi. in fact, they testified that the security profile was exactly the way they wanted it. that s just not acceptable when you have four people kill and and two terrorist attacks before every other western flag had left, including the british who had an assassination attempt. how is it that you allowed this to continue? i believe some individuals at the state department were somewhat demoted because of benghazi, but you re correct no one was fired. show me. the secretary of state no. to be continued. congressman jason chaffetz, we appreciate it. in related clinton news, president obama was asked about
presumably it is legally possible for him to go to the clerk and file a lawsuit. but as a practical matter, this tragic comedy is over and steve ballmer is going to own this team and the sterlings will go off to their very profitable retirement. what s the next actual stope in the process? there will be an actual formal board of governors meeting in which so many will approve the sale. if in fact the financials are good on both sides. and there s no legal challenge. i don t think there will be now that this new news has come out that jeffrey has reported and others. i can t see it not going through. i think this will be a formality. frankly, i know you might even be amazed how quickly this all happened. and i think in a crazy way the sterlings have benefitted from this whole crisis. it s a billion dollars. not just that they sold it but they sold it for so much. that this created this sort of whipped up, quick sale hysteria
straightal part of what we learned. and i wrote about the cases because it is kind of amazing. there are more than one. i know. that one stuck out because i thought, sailors certainly have a reputation. anyway, senator webb, great to have you here. thanks very much. turns out general shinseki wasn t the only change. a surprise announcement after three years of giving carefully worded answers, jay carney is leaving. the president interrupted today s briefing to deliver the news himself. jay has become one of my closest friends and is a great press secretary a great adviser, he s got good judgment. he has good temperament. he s got a good heart. i m going to miss him a lot. it s not clear what s next for carney but the president indicated he wanted to spend time with his beautiful family
