argument that the plot against trump was designed to inject the fbi in to the election , which would be a no-no if they can prove that. so it s the trial at hand of former hillary clinton campaign lawyer michael sussmann getting out of his vehicle in washington at the courthouse. now, at issue is whether he lied to the fbi when he brought them what he claimed were links between trump and a russian bank called alpha. they say, the prosecutors are saying that sussmann manipulated the bureau in to an investigation in hopes of prompting a big problem or an october surprise two months before the 2016 election. that is what they re efforting to prove here in this d.c. courtroom. who better to talk to about this than andy mccarthy here on day two of the government s case against sussmann. he just wrote a brilliant piece about this. it came out an hour ago. first to david spunt who is live outside that d.c. courtroom watching it all for us. hi, david. hi, martha. good afternoon. a
New polling tonight. Significant gains it seems for trump. What exactly is changing . It is tighter, anderson. And we should not be surprised. Remember the country weve live in the last 20 years. It should not be surprising if this race gets tight into the end. A new poll Shows Hillary clinton up just three points. When you average out the most recent National Polls we have Hillary Clinton with six points leading. Down from eight or nine just a few days ago because the new polls coming out show a tighter race. Some of the state polls get more interesting. And you say does donald trump have a chance as we have 12 more days essentially of campaigning . Look at these numbers in florida. Other polls have shown secretary clinton ahead in florida in recent days. A new poll trump up. Does seem to indicate some trump momentum. In a state he absolutely has to win. And anderson when you look closer into this bloomberg poll, tells you a lot about the challenge for candidates heading into the fina

back in 2008 brown cautioned a member of the clinton inner circle about weinstein. i was hearing that half vieh s sleaziness with women had escalate and she was unwise to be so closely associated with him. so if you assume that these three they are true, how does it happen in a campaign led by a woman with an impressive list after compliments on women s issues? i think it is i think it is sort of a testament to the fact that she was an employer at the time. i m not sure i m not sure that hillary clinton having been a women made a huge difference in this case. obviously the question of sexual harassment and sexual assault were raised during the presidential campaign. president trump accused by many women of sexual misconduct and bill clinton has been accused of sexual misconduct. there were some democrats who felt that hillary clinton would have been able to make a better contrast in that.
