Dennis Dunn, 49, was granted a $10,000 signature recognizance bond by Clinton County Common Pleas Judge John W. “Tim” Rudduck while awaiting a new trial date. This comes after the court agreed to relieve Dunn’s previous attorney, James Hartke, of his duties and have evidence in the trial stricken from the record in February. Court documents indicated Hartke did not provide proper access of evidence to the prosecution.

Wilmington man’s domestic violence indictment is 3rd-degree felony charge due to prior convictions By Gary Huffenberger - ghuffenberger@wnewsj.com WILMINGTON A local man with two domestic violence convictions has been indicted on a new charge of domestic violence, which because of the prior offenses is elevated to a felony of the third degree (F3). Christopher T. Anspach, 43 of Wilmington, is alleged to have knowingly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a family or household member in Clinton County on March 13. His two prior convictions for domestic violence are out of Lebanon Municipal Court. According to April 16 paperwork filed in the Clinton County Clerk of Courts Office, Clinton County Common Pleas Judge John W. “Tim” Rudduck writes there apparently is no offer for a plea agreement forthcoming from prosecutors in the case.

John Hamilton | News Journal WILMINGTON The primary suspect in the shooting of a state wildlife officer now faces a federal charge. A federal warrant from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio was executed against Brian Liming, 44, of Jamestown,last week in Clinton County Common Pleas Court. Clinton County Prosecutor Andrew T. McCoy said Liming was charged under a section of the federal criminal code which makes it a federal crime for an individual with a prior conviction for misdemeanor domestic violence to possess a firearm.
