Education professor Clinton Beckford will address issues with racism and discrimination at the University of Windsor in his new role as acting vice-president of equity, diversity and inclusion.
The two-year appointment was announced last week.

UWindsor president Robert Gordon praised Beckford’s experience as a highly respected advocate for social and environmental justice and as an educational and administrative leader.
“Dr. Beckford brings extensive research, knowledge, and experience working with racialized, marginalized, and Indigenous communities locally and internationally to this role, as well as a deep knowledge of our campus community,” Gordon said in a media release.
