The US Consul General in Karachi Robert Silberstein broke ground on a US-Pakistan Friendship Garden at Clifton Urban Forest on Friday, in celebration of Arbor Day, said a press release issued on the day.
The US-Pakistan Friendship Garden was made possible by a $4,000 grant and the efforts of a corps of US diplomats assigned to the US Consulate in Karachi, the press release said.
Located in the heart of Karachi, the addition to the urban forest will be a sustainable symbol of the United States partnership with Pakistan to tackle the climate crisis, it added.
