Blackburn Magistrates Court A MAN has been charged in relation to a terrifying knifepoint robbery at an off licence. On January 3, officers were called to reports of a robbery involving a knife on Parkinson Street in Blackburn.The incident involved a man barging into the Wine Cellar and using a blade to demand cash from the shopkeeper. He left empty handed after Ajaoi Suraj fought him off. Clifford Sculpher, 32, of Brindle Street, Blackburn, has now been charged with the attempted robbery of Mr Suraj of cash and possession a knife in The Wine Cellar. He appeared at Blackburn Magistartes on Wednesday where he was sent in custody to Preston Crown Court where he will appear on March 1.
