Stephen Raymond Hein of Hawks, died in Christ Monday, Dec. 21, 2020. Steve was born to Wally and Margaret Hein on Nov. 8, 1948. He married Judy (Judge) on June 30, 1973 and recently married Althea (Luebke) on Feb. 28, 2020.
Steve served his country as a young man in the Army. He loved the outdoors, singing in the church choir, and playing with his grandkids. Since his retirement from Michigan Limestone (formerly Calcite), you could usually find Steve taking walks through the woods and feeding his ever-growing flock of turkeys, deer and other wild birds. Perhaps his favorite title achieved in life was as a volunteer aid in the preschool program at St. John Lutheran Church and School.
