KEIGHLEY’S Cliffe Castle couldn’t host its usual festive celebrations this year due to the Covid-19 restrictions. But a special ‘evening of online messages’ was staged – and the event was hailed as a huge success. Organised in partnership with Bradford Council and a range of organisations based around Cliffe Castle Park and the wider community, it featured special messages and an array of activities. There was a message from Silsden’s fancy dress runner Mary Bear Taylor, a game of pass the parcel around the park with Cliffe Castle Support Group, craft activities led by the support group and Keighley Creative, words from district councillors Caroline Firth and Sarah Ferriby, a singalong with Keighley Pride and festive photo tips from professional photographer Lisa Holmes.
