In the belief that literacy is the key building block he set up the Click Foundation with literacy as its specific purpose. Under the leadership of his daughter Nicola they have to date taken just over 103,000 children through the various programs. The target is 1,000,000. Now that is what I call making a real difference. CRADOCK CASE STUDY To help further the cause in Cradock where , as in most rural towns , the education is dire we assembled a team and identified two schools which were suitable . The one being in a predominantly Coloured community ( Carinus ) and the other more Black ( Ncaca ). In this we were greatly helped by David Wylde and his wife Ingrid. Mar 1, 2021 Technology holds significant benefits for humanity, and digital technology can be an indispensable tool for helping the United Nations achieve its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This was the view of Huawei senior vice president and board member Catherine Chen, in her keynote speech at the recent Connected for Shared Prosperity Forum, during the GSMA’s Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2021. Chen said technology could be an engine for human progress, and called on individuals and businesses to “think big and act small”, while reiterating her support of the SDGs and building a green, innovative and inclusive world. “Large social changes tend to happen in lockstep with breakthroughs in science and technology. But today, technological advancements are hyped and politicised – as has sometimes been the case with 5G.”

This is the view of Catherine Chen, the senior vice president at global technology giant Huawei. She was delivering a keynote speech at the recent Connected for Shared Prosperity Forum, during the GSMA’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2021.
