Works to restore the historic Cleveland Pools lido in Bath has started after a 17-year community campaign to save it.
Swimmers are expected to return next summer, when the outdoor swimming pools open fully for the first time since 1984.
The significant moment sees work finally commence to restore the famous site to its former glory.
Bristol-based Beard is leading the work on the £6.2m restoration of Cleveland Pools, the oldest surviving outdoor public swimming pool in the UK, which was built in 1815 and is now regarded as a nationally significant site.
