Autumn Concert As part of a a special autumn concert, the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra will perform pieces by Tower, Swanson, Copland and Dvorak. Vinery Parameswaran conducts. Solti Foundation US announces 2021 Career Assistance Awards 12/05/2021
The American Solti Foundation announced the young American conductors who have been selected as 2021 recipients of The Sir Georg Solti Career Assistance Award. They are, Assistance Award (in alphabetical order) are conductors:
Nathaniel Efthimiou, founding Music Director of Orchestra Contempo, Assistant Conductor, Boston Civic Symphony, Assistant Director of Music at Boston’s historic Park Street Church and acting Assistant Conductor, Rhode Island Philharmonic;
Kevin Fitzgerald, Assistant Conductor of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and Music Director of the Alabama Symphony Youth Orchestra, he is also the founder of the Michigan-based contemporary music ensemble ÆPEX Contemporary Performance;
