The cafe concept is new ground for the Cleveland Bagel Co., which is licensing its name to the endeavor and will supply its award-winning bagels and other products to the business. The 1920s-era building the cafe will be in was last home to a Starbucks that closed in 2021.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Food & Wine has lauded a pair of Cleveland eateries, including them on a list of best bagel shops in the country.
The magazine included 40 bagel shops, covering places in 20 states and Washington, D.C. Not surprisingly, New York has 11 entries. Ohio has three.
For Bialy’s the magazine noted the history of the place, adding that owners Rachel and Sarah Gross have carried “a tradition of making some of the best New York bagels west of the Allegheny. The everything (here, known as a Mish Mosh) and sesame especially aren’t just dead ringers for the original article – they’re often better.”

CLEVELAND Who makes the best bagels in the United States? According to a new report from Food and Wine’s David Landsel, there are two Cleveland-area spots putting Northeast Ohio on the map.
In his travels across the country, Landsel selected Cleveland Bagel Co. and Bialy’s Bagels in University Heights among the best in America.
