It has been a challenging year for many people across the world, but despite all the uncertainties, Member for Burdekin Dale Last says strong community spirit was constantly on full display across Central Queensland townships.
âWhile the direct effects of the COVID-19 pandemic were minimal in most areas of the Burdekin Electorate, the measures taken across the state and nation had a huge impact,â he said.
âWe saw community spirit come to the fore with people putting others first and working together towards a common good.â
While working through the worldwide pandemic, Mr Last has also successfully lobbied for a range of infrastructure, health and educational upgrades, including those at Moranbah, Dysart and Clermont State high schools.
