Some of you may already have been through our new exhibit open just under two weeks ago on the second floor in the mountain gallery called cowboys and culture. If you havent, i would strongly urge you to. Its just a fascinating collection, and im talking about a large collection, of artifacts, art and other objects that illuminate the connection that i wasnt aware of down through history going back to the cattle days between city of kansas city and amarillo, texas. I found suzanne lewis, the daughter of late comic legend jerry lewis in a parking lot in philadelphia. She lives on the streets and carries her belongings around in shopping bags. What do you have in here, by the way. A little of everything. A little of everything. She spends most of her time at a local food court. It is cool in the summer, warm in the winter. Does it get lonely out here . It can be. If you have to be in the street, you may as well have people around you so you dont feel isolated. I dont like feeling isolated. Hi. When she scrapes together money, she buys a meal at a chinese restaurant. Then it is back out on the street. People are going to ask, how did you end up here . How did you end up in the street . Its just something that happened. Suzanne was born out of wed lock back in the 1950s. Her mother, a beautiful model named lynn dixon had a three year affair with jerry lewis. Dna tests have established there is an 88. 7 certainty that suzanne is jerry lewis daughter.

This will go on for the next month. Now these new trains are state of the art. Theyre quisqut smooth and have the latest technology. Some riders are looking forward to that change. But in the meantime theyre frustrated by these closures. Im 30 minutes late to work. Im happy about trains but for 20 30 day of this going on is going to be ridiculous. Its going to totally effect my travel. We have a lot of work to do with the tests and we appreciate the publics indulgence in cooperation, our goal is to get the traininize to service as quickly and safely as possible. Closures will continue for a month. Muni is making one exception. The subway will reopen the weekend of outside lands. This is the San Francisco marathon. Well, there for signs like this posted all over the city letting people know about the change in service. Were on church and Market Street where a lot of them just got on that train but here there are also Traffic Controllers and they are directing people who get off the trains over to the waiting buses who take people where they need go. Those buses do get pretty packed. We shot this after one of those transfers. Muny is making major upgrades. To do this they have to close the segway. That means underground stations are closed all day on weekends. It only runs until 9 30 p. M. Week days. This will go on for the next month. Now these new trains are state of the art.
