CLEMSON, S.C. - Clemson Director of Track and Field Mark Elliott has agreed to an extension that runs through 2025, Director of Athletics Graham Neff announced. Elliott was the 2023 ACC Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year after leading Clemson to its first men’s outdoor conference title since 2004. The Tigers claimed the title on the meet’s final event, the 4x400 relay. On the men’s side in 2022-23, Clemson registered 28 top-ten performances combined indoor and outdoor, including nine school records. On the women’s side, the team saw 27 top-ten performances and three school records this season. Elliott is entering his 11th season at Clemson, where he leads both men’s and women’s programs. He led the women’s program to the 2015 ACC Indoor and Outdoor Championship.
CLEMSON, S.C. - Clemson Director of Athletics Graham Neff announced that Kosha Irby (ko-SHAY er-BEE) has been named Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director/ Chief Marketing Officer. Irby brings over two decades of experience to Clemson, including his most recent three-year stint as Chief Marketing Officer of Professional Bull Riders (PBR). Beginning Feb. 6, 2023, Irby will oversee all external units for the department, which presently manages all public-interfacing areas of the Clemson Athletics brand. “Clemson is getting one of the industry’s thought leaders in bringing Kosha Irby and his family into our department,” said Neff. “We constantly talk about the need to be disruptive and innovative, while keeping our fan and student experience top-of-mind. Searchable Database Clemson Athletics matched a department record with a 95 percent Graduation Success Rate (GSR) for the 2012-15 cohort in data released by the NCAA. It’s the ninth consecutive cohort in which Clemson’s department-wide GSR was at 91 percent or higher, and second in a row at 95 percent, one of four public Power Five schools nationally to make that claim. Nine Clemson programs set or tied program records for GSR. “The continued dedication of our student-athletes and Nieri Family Student-Athlete Enrichment Center staff continues to be a major point of pride for our department,” said Clemson Director of Athletics Graham Neff. “Along with IPTAY, we take great pride in our student-athletes’ hard work to graduate at such a high rate, while also competing for championships.” Among public institutions, Clemson’s department rate was tied for first in the ACC and second in the Power Five, just one percentage point behind the national public leader.
