Tributes poured over social media for former College of St. Benilde Blazers center Clement Leutcheu who passed Saturday morning due to cardiac arrest.
He was 25.
“What a sad day… We will miss you my friend @cjleutcheu. May your soul rest in peace,” Blazers coach Ty Tang wrote on his Facebook account, which drew responses from the collegiate basketball community.
“I am grateful to have cross paths with you, Clement. Thank you for the friendship. May your soul rest in peace,” Blazers consultant and former PBA coach Siot Tanquingcen wrote.
“Gone too soon. Very nice guy. Condolences to his family,” Lyceum mentor Jeffrey Perlas also wrote.

ST. Benilde has lost a dear friend as Clement Leutcheu passed away on Saturday morning due to heart condition.
He was 25.
Standing at 6-foot-7, the Cameroonian center provided ceiling for the Blazers for the better part of the last four seasons starting in NCAA Season 92 in 2016.
He averaged 6.8 points on 41-percent shooting, to go with 6.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 19.7 minutes this past NCAA Season 95 as the Blazers just missed out on making it to the Final Four.

St. Benilde coach TY Tang paid tribute to his former player and said that despite Leutcheu s hulking presence, he was as pure of a person as they come.

CLEMENT Leutcheu s death on Saturday came as a shock to close friends who are struggling to accept the fate that befell the former St. Benilde center.
The Cameroonian gentle giant, who is already based in Manila, suffered a heart attack early Saturday morning. He was only 25.
