April 19, (THEWILL) - The Nigerian Army has released the detained King of Ewu Kingdom, Clement Ikolo. THEWILL earlier reported that the traditional ruler had surrendered himself after he was declared wanted alongside seven other suspects by the army following the killing of 17 personnel in Okuama community in Delta State on March 14, 2024.
After 22 days in detention, the Nigerian Army released the traditional ruler of the Okuama community in Delta State, HRM Clement Ikolo. SaharaReporters had reported that in the wake of the killing of 17 military personnel in the community on March 14, 2024, the Defence Headquarters declared the monarch alongside seven others wanted for alleged involvement in the crime. Ikolo later surrendered himself to the Nigerian Police in Delta state and was flown to Abuja by the military for further questioning.
