bret: the illinois supreme court has ruled the cash bail elimination provision of a new crime bill is constitutional. the court had put the legislation on hold for 8 months after it was supposed to go into effect. the ruling overturns a judge s opinion in december that found eliminating cash bail violated the state constitution. bret: the convicted felon who was given clemens is now a person of interest in the deaths of it four women. correspondent dan springer has details tonight from seattle. good evening, dan. yeah, good evening, bret. you know, portland police initially said that there was no evidence linking these deaths but now nine different agencies have come together and they have now say that they these cases are connected and they have a person of interest in custody and it s someone who is well-known to law enforcement. the victims are 22-year-old kristin smith.
