Memorial Day weekend is often thought of as the kick-off to summer, but in Northern Nevada we know that the weather is a fickle creature. The weather should be dryer and warmer as the weekend progresses but have back-up plans for your bar-be-que, just in case.
Yeah, it’s hot out there, but it’s the area happenings that are sizzling. The Carson City Fair at Fuji Park offers a plethora of entertainment for all ages including tractor pulls, a carnival, and farm animals. Under the shade of the Mills Park cottonwoods, you’ll have all day to peruse the varied vehicles in the annual Run Whatcha Brung Car Show.
Whovians won’t want to miss on the painting and trivia party today at Van Gogh and Vino with a special Dr. Who theme. If you find yourself to the east of Carson, head by the Holiday Craft Fair in Dayton. Sassafras Eclectic Food Joint makes a good choice for dinner tonight; they’re hosting an all styles jam with Xing Bridges.
Meet Holly The Horse and join us as we paint Holly the Horse during a mixed media painting class Feb. 2 in Dayton. Holly the Horse is a 16 X 20 painting and it will take approximately 3 hours to paint. We’ll be using acrylics. We will have refreshments during a couple of drying times.
