A 67-year-old man died after he was hit by a car that fled the scene in Clearfield Wednesday night. Police are looking for a cream-colored Cadillac with likely front-end damage.
The 47-year-old motorcyclist who died after colliding head on with a vehicle before being hit by another vehicle on April 23 has been identified by Clearfield police.
CLEARFIELD A 47-year-old motorcyclist died after colliding head-on with a car and being struck by another on Friday near 1700 S. Main after he tried to avoid an SUV that turned in front of him, Clearfield police said.
According to a press release from the Clearfield Police Department, the motorcyclist was eastbound on 1700 South (Antelope Drive) when a small, silver, four-door SUV traveling west turned left in front of him. The man attempted to avoid the SUV and collided with another westbound car, police said; the motorcyclist was thrown from his vehicle and then struck by another westbound car.
Clearfield police responded to the report of a traffic accident with serious injuries about 1 p.m. Emergency responders from North Davis Fire District and Davis County Sheriff s Office also began administering aid to the motorcyclist while a medical helicopter was requested, according to the release.

CLEARFIELD A repair shop owner in Clearfield hoped someone would be able to identify a suspected burglar who he said stole thousands of dollars in tools and took a high-end truck for a joyride.
Owner Paul McClure said surveillance cameras captured the thief casing the lot of JP s Car Care and Interstate Diesel Performance, located on 1352 East and 700 South, around 3 a.m. Saturday.
After appearing to test the doors into the business, McClure said the burglar broke a window in back to steal bags of keys to vehicles and as much as $20,000 in tools and electronics.
He then was captured on video using one of the keys to steal a black pickup that was parked out front.
CLEARFIELD A teenager who was previously reported missing in Clearfield was found safe Wednesday evening, according to police.
Angeline Vasquez, 17, had last been contacted on Tuesday and was considered at-risk. She was found safe about 6 p.m. Wednesday, Clearfield police said on Twitter.
Police described Vasquez as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 150 pounds. She has hazel eyes and long hair dyed blonde with blue streaks. She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants.
Clearfield police said that Vasquez was likely traveling with two other missing teens from Montana.
