I’m talking decades here. For many years, I kept my internal struggles with anxiety to myself and leaned on different techniques and modalities to help me manage it think breathwork, EFT tapping, and meditation. Although they’ve all been very helpful, I’ve also learned that there’s no shame in asking for support. Having someone there, whether it’s a partner, friend, or family member, to help you through a moment of emotional distress can make soothing the nervous system much easier.
