Liverpool striker Layton Stewart has joined Preston North End on a three-year deal.It was expected that a loan move was the next step for Stewart, with several EFL clubs interested, but a permanent deal has now been concluded.Liverpool have inserted a buy-back clause into the deal for the 20-year-old.Stewart has been with Liverpool since the age of seven, coming through the academy ranks before signing his first professional deal in 2020.He made his senior debut in a Carabao Cup tie last season against Derby County but will hope for increased playing time in the second tier under Ryan Lowe.Liverpool have a positive relationship with Preston having loaned youth players there in the past. Calvin Ramsay, the right-back who signed from Aberdeen a year ago, is at Deepdale on loan for the upcoming season.
