The Salvation Army does a lot during the holiday season to help members of the community in need.
Salvation Army service units serve every zip code in Bedford County, including Bedford, Everett, Saxton, Hyndman, Woodbury and New Enterprise.
These units help with utility and rental assistance, youth, senior and veteran programming, clothing and other basic needs.
âBecause there is no quarantine from hunger or a lost job,â said Melissa Rosensteel, Senior Field Representative for Bedford County.
âOur units are providing additional COVID relief through food distribution, mask and sanitizer distributions, and medical and funeral expense assistance.â
The Red Kettle Campaign is also an important service that helps Bedford County residents.
