OPPD, NPPD warn rolling outages could resume Tuesday evening

Alert two means they’re doing everything except rolling outages to make up for the exceeded power demand. This affects both OPPD and NPPD. At 6:28 p.m. Central time on Feb. 16, SPP declared an Energy Emergency Alert (EEA) Level 2. An EEA Level 2 requires SPP to direct its member companies to issue public conservation appeals. Heavy Omaha snow prompts bus service suspension Gina Dvorak © Provided by Omaha WOWT With roads mostly snow-covered Tuesday morning, Dec. 29, 2020, Nebraska State Patrol was advising drivers not to travel unless it’s absolutely necessary as the winter storm rolled through the Omaha-metro. OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Several inches of snowfall around the Metro on Tuesday have made for some difficult travel conditions and prompted the city to cut bus service off until road conditions improve. Metro Transit issued a press release stating that all bus, ORBT, and MOBY services would be suspended due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions.” MOBY services will end at 6 p.m.; bus and ORBT services will consolidate at 8:30 p.m., with buses ending services and heading back to the city garage at 10 p.m.
