so we are now at the hundredth day for the gop-controlled congress, and when you first took control i think a lot of people had a lot of optimism that so much would get done. today, not so much. why haven t you been able to get more done? well we ve gotten an awful lot done here in the house, passing the keystone pipeline which passed the house in a couple hours. took the senate 323 days to do the keystone pipeline. the clay hunt suicide prevention bill passed the house, passed the senate, signed into law. fixing the 40-hour workweek in obamacare. passed the house. still awaiting action in the senate. we passed a plan to balance the budget. the senate s passed a plan. we re in conference to try to get those resolved. fixing the problems in medicare and the way we pay doctors in medicare. that bill is on its way to the president. passed the house, passed the senate. first entitlement reform in nearly 20 years. and solves the problem we ve
in terms of what happened in the house, you and senator warren and others have been trying to stop this, but they made a lot of noise and a lot of people very nervous yesterday. what is the status among democrats in the senate? rachel, this is a bad bill for a number of reasons. you talked about the outrage of repealing a section, by the way, whose title is prohibition against government bailouts, in other words, they will be able to make risky investments, and they lose, the taxpayers bail them out. that s not the only objectionable aspect of the bill. this bill sl about a trillion-dollar bill, and 60% is going to the military spending, and child care is a total
