Hawke s Bay reality TV stars Quinn Ryan and Claudia Hoskins have revealed their recent miscarriage in a bid to help those in a similar position feel less alone.
Ryan, who fell short in last year s inaugural series of The Bachelorette NZ, later found love with former series three The Bachelor NZ contestant Hoskins.
Hoskins believed she wouldn’t be able to conceive naturally due to the condition, but about a month ago, she discovered she was pregnant. “It was exciting, overwhelming, and pretty much just felt like a miracle had happened,” Hoskins wrote in an Instagram post. But Hoskins’ and Ryan’s excitement was quickly curbed when, at an early scan, doctors were unable to find a heartbeat. The couple were advised that it may have been too early and as Hoskins was showing no signs of miscarriage they “held on to hope” that there were no issues. “Since we first had that news there have been many blood tests, a handful of ultrasounds, hours of crying, and more time spent googling than I’d like to admit,” Hoskins wrote.
