BOV staff collect funds for women's shelters

BOV staff, even those working remotely, recently shed off their work attire and reported to work wearing purple and raised funds to help vulnerable women who, due to domestic violence, homelessness and other difficulties such as addiction, mental health, relationship and familial issues, are forced to live in shelters. Staff rallied together in a collective effort to raise funds during the dress-down initiative that in itself was a symbol of commitment towards gender equality and the fight against abuse. “At Bank of Valletta, we believe that it is our duty to assist as much as we can in the community. The pandemic brought to light the inequality between genders, and this is even more evident in the number of women who seek shelter from abusive conditions,” Claudette Pace from BOV PR and Marketing said.
