France mourns 3 soldiers killed in Mali By AT editor - 28 December 2020 at 11:57 pm France has announced the death of three soldiers serving with Operation Barkhane in Mali. Fighter 1st Class Dorian Issakhanian, left, along with Brigadier chief Tanerii Mauri and Fighter 1st Class Quentin Pauchet were identified after they were killed in a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) incident. The three served with the Lamy desert tactical group. The French defense ministry said the explosion happened Monday near Hombori during a convoy escort mission. Hombori is in the south-central part of Mali, not far from the border with Burkina Faso.
