Area seniors win scholarships
Luke Haehn of Archer City and Kacee Teichman of Scotland were selected to receive the 2021 All American Scholar Award sponsored by Catholic Life Insurance.
Catholic Life awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and academic achievements and have made a difference in their communities.
Haehn attends Archer City High School and plans to attend Texas Tech University ion the fall. He is the son of Dwayne and Debra Haehn. His activities that include Student Council, PALS, FCCLA, Principles Council, Senior Class Treasurer, Speech and Robotics, BEST Robotics, football, basketball, HOBY Leadership and lawn mowing. Haehn has volunteered with Teens Make a Difference Day, Mission Arlington, Faith Mission Refuge, Hurricane Harvey Clean Up, and for veterans.

The West Fargo High School Student of the Month for May is Emily Larsen.
Larsen’s parents are Kristen and Matt Larsen. Larsen was nominated by Ruth Joyce for the West Fargo Exchange Club’s Student of the
Month.
Larsen has been involved in National Honor Society and has participated in both soccer and volleyball during high school and this year Larsen was a team captain for the soccer team. She is part of Sinfonia Orchestra and is second chair violin. Emily has lettered in academics all of her four years of high school as well as received eight athletic varsity letters, and one letter for fine arts.
BELOIT– The West Branch Winter Homecoming Queen will be crowned before the varsity boys basketball game Friday.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - The Ripley County Community Foundation proudly announces Riley Schebler as Ripley County’s 2021 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship recipient. Riley will receive full tuition for 4 years of undergraduate study and a $900 per year book stipend to the Indiana college or university of his choice.
Riley is the son of Ryan and Jennifer Schebler and is a senior at Oldenburg Academy. Although he currently does not know which college he will be attending in the Fall of 2021, he hopes to attend either Indiana University or the University of Notre Dame to pursue a degree in Business. Along with being a top student at his high school, Riley is also a member of the National Honor Society, the Varsity Tennis Team, the Varsity Basketball Team, and is a volunteer at his church.
