Claro Argentina sales fall another 9%, mobile subs up over 330,000 in Q1 Wednesday 28 April 2021 | 11:27 CET | News America Movil announced that first-quarter revenues adjusted for inflation at its Claro Argentina unit declined to ARS 32.5 billion, down 8.8 percent year on year following three quarterly declines of around 10 percent. The operator said mobile services revenues improved by 1.1 percent in the prepaid segment after the government lifted a ban on price hikes imposed following Covid emergency. Revenues still declined by 16.5 percent in postpaid, partly offset by a 6.1 percent rise in fixed line revenues thanks to a 26.2 percent surge in broadband revenues.

Argentina operators to reimburse clients for January price hikes Tuesday 23 February 2021 | 14:20 CET | News Movistar Argentina (Telefonica) and Claro (America Movil) have informed telecommunications regulator Enacom that they intend to reimburse customers for unauthorised price increases imposed in January and February. Claro Argentina and Movistar Argentina confirmed to Enacom that they will reimburse their clients in March, via credit notes, for the extra amount billed, confirmed the watchdog s director Carlos Ambrosini in a tweet, adding that those who do not comply with the agreed refund will be fined .

Claro Argentina sales down 10% in Q4, adds 200,000 mobile subs Wednesday 10 February 2021 | 12:07 CET | News America Movil said fourth-quarter revenues adjusted for inflation fell to ARS 30.3 billion at its Claro Argentina unit, a third consecutive quarterly decline of around 10 percent. The operator previously blamed revenue falls on the government s decision to ban price rises throughout 2020 due to the Covid emergency. As a result, overall mobile service revenues Claro Argentina were down 12.4 percent year on year to ARS 23.2 billion in the October to December period, partly offset by a 6.1 percent rise in fixed line revenues to ARS 3.1 billion.
