avenue and mill road. she connecticut avenue and mill road. she didn t realize she was being followed. the suspect boarded at the same stop. reporter: she got off the bus at veers mill and clairidge road and so did the suspect. the suspect approached her from behind, grabbed her and started to drag her into the woods by the park. reporter: but before the suspect could continue with his attack. we re very fortunate there was a young man who intervened and interrupted the assault and when this happened, the suspect fled from the area. reporter: the victim called police. the good samaritan had already left the scene. we would like this young man who helped this woman out to come forward. we d like to talk to him. once our officers arrived we d left from the scene. we want to thank him and hear what he has to say. reporter: in addition to a possible witness to the attack, the suspect may have been captured on video by a metrobus camera as he followed the victim
