FOLEY - Foley Main Street’s third birthday was celebrated on June 1, 2021. From birth to structure to action they have been busy in Downtown Foley. A volunteer board leads the way, along with Executive Director Darrelyn Dunmore, and they are committed to making Downtown Foley the best it can be.
“Our downtown area is the heart of Foley. A healthy heart is vital to the overall health and growth of this great city. Supporting Main Street is a great way to ensure that Downtown Foley will continue to be a growing, vibrant center,” Secretary of Foley Main Street and former main street director Barbara Ingram said.
Mesquite will host community health forum on nutrition for families and older adults
The forum is part of a program aimed at promoting healthy practices as Mesquite recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lark Stewart, director of food and nutrition services at Mesquite ISD, will discuss family nutrition. Pam Folsom, Mesquite’s senior recreation supervisor for 50+ programs, will join members of the Visiting Nurses Association to speak about nutrition for older adults.

An agreement has been reached between Boot Hill Casino & Resort and VenuWorks of Dodge City for the naming rights for the Boot Hill Casino & Resort Conference Center.
The naming rights will keep the name of the Boot Hill Casino & Resort Conference Center as is through 2036, a 10-year extension signed originally in 2016 that extends that agreement an additional 10 years, according to Boot Hill Casino & Resort senior director of marketing & sales Jessica Rabe.
The Boot Hill Casino & Resort Conference Center is a 6,800-square-foot meeting and entertainment space that has been used for banquets, mixed martial arts events, Christmas parties and speaking engagements such as the most recent State of the City Address.
