Neon Nation takes Apple Valley back to the 80s to close out 2021 Sunset Concert Series

Neon Nation billed as Southern California s hottest 80 s band closed out this year s Sunset Concert Series on Thursday night with an energetic and nostalgic set in Apple Valley.
The free event, held on the stage inside Civic Center Park, drew hundreds of fans who set up lawn chairs and lounged on blankets on the grassy hill near the stage.
Music lovers both young and old danced well into the evening as the 80s cover band played renditions of staple hits like Prince s “Purple Rain,” Berlin s “The Metro,” and Nena s “99 Red Balloons,” which Neon Nation singer Clarissa Byrd partly sang in the song s original German.
