TEXARKANA, Texas A woman is dead and four people, including a police officer, were injured following a Wednesday morning crash in Texarkana.
According to the Texarkana Texas Police Department, the crash occurred just before 4 a.m. at the intersection of Summerhill Rd. and New Boston Rd.
Police say Francisco Arriaga, 47, of Pasadena, was driving with his wife, Clarissa, and their two children north on Summerhill Rd. when he failed to stop at a flashing red light. His SUV was stuck by Nash Police Department Officer Sostenes Sanchez on the passenger side of the SUV. Officer Sanchez was on duty and in his patrol car when the crash occurred.

Texarkana Police Investigate Fatal Early Morning Crash
It s a sad morning in the Texarkana area as a fatal car accident claimed the life of a woman at the intersection of Summerhill Road and New Boston Road. Texarkana Police are investigating the fatal crash that took place happened around 4AM this morning.
According to the TTPD Facebook page:
Clarissa Arriaga, 45, of Pasadena, TX, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was passenger in a 2012 Cadillac Escalade driven by her husband, Francisco Arriaga, 47. He, along with their two children (21 and 15) were transported to Wadley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Nash PD Officer Sostenes Sanchez was transported to Christus St. Michael with non-life threatening injuries. He was on-duty and driving his patrol car.
