A burger van operator had her young daughter in her car when she crashed head-on with another vehicle near Garve.
Inverness Sheriff Court was told that Maria Ceinos-Stewart of Coulin Estate, Kinlochewe was on her way to work in Muir of Ord when she overtook another car.
But fiscal depute Michelle Molley told Sheriff Ian Cruickshank that a van was coming the other way and Ceinos-Stewart made no attempt to abort the overtake.
