LEBANON Three community mental health agencies serving the Upper Valley received federal grants to expand and sustain their services amid an ongoing workforce shortage and an increase in demand for services following the height of the COVID-19.
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has awarded the Clara Martin Center a four-year, $4 million grant to continue their development as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). Clara Martin Center is the first community mental health agency in Vermont to have been designated a CCBHC after receiving an initial two-year CCBHC Expansion grant from SAMHSA in 2021.
