Paul Stephenson, 69, was swept away from a surge of water from the Condamine River while moving his cattle to higher ground on a property at Killarney, on the Southern Downs in Queensland about 8pm Wednesday. As more than 180mm of rain fell in just an hour, Mr Stephenson struggled during the vicious weather but unfortunately did not survive.
