Father killed in horrific Queensland flood in Southern Downs identified

Paul Stephenson, 69, died while trying to move his cattle to higher ground on a property at Killarney (pictured with wife Colleen) The farmer who was killed while moving his cattle to safety through rising flood waters has been remembered as the heart and head of the family by his heartbroken wife.  Paul Stephenson, 69, was swept away from a surge of water from the Condamine River while moving his cattle to higher ground on a property at Killarney, on the Southern Downs in Queensland about 8pm Wednesday. As more than 180mm of rain fell in just an hour, Mr Stephenson struggled during the vicious weather but unfortunately did not survive.
