The housebuilder is planning to start the construction of 730 homes this summer after finalising the acquisition of 90 acres in Halewood.
Redrow has exchanged contracts on a plot of land off Lower Road, where it has outline consent for 582 homes, while the firm also has planning consent for 148 homes on a second site it has bought off Greensbridge Lane.
At the Lower Road site there will be a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, and three- and four-bedroom terraced, semi-detached and detached properties.
The Greensbridge Lane site is to comprise three-, four- and five-bedroom detached houses.
A quarter of the homes are to be designated as affordable, and the development is expected to take between five and seven years to complete, according to Redrow.

Anthony Veasna So walked into the n+1 office one very cold day in February 2018. I mean that literally: he just walked in, straight off the bus from Syracuse, preceded by an email of recommendation from his professor. It was an old-school arrival like something out of Balzac, or Tolstoy, at odds with Anthony’s utter contemporaneity and present tense-ness, but also totally on brand for someone who was unable and unwilling to distinguish between literature and life. In any case, it was a great fucking entrance, and it made an impression. We published his story “Superking Son Scores Again” a couple months later, in Issue 31. His story “The Monks” and his review of
Catalysts And Photoreactivity: Discoveries From The Life Of Elizabeth Fulhame, Europe’s First Woman Chemical Researcher
Sometimes, the presence of a third party allows two people to accomplish something they either could not pull off, or would take an agonizingly long time to achieve, on their own. We are used to these human mediators, therapists and coaches and advisors, to help us navigate the complexities that one lifetime of experience is just not enough to guide even the best intentioned couple through. As in life, so in chemistry, and the recognition of chemicals that help mediate the reactions of other chemicals has spurred an industry and given humanity broad powers to alter the molecular landscape of our world, for better or worse.

When will Wigan wake traffic wise and complete a road from Bickershaw swing bridge to Dover Lock so that Slag Lane , Church Lane and Golborne road would be relieved of a great amount of traffic going towards Wigan and Ashton. No but they will allow unrestricted development in both areas of Lowton. Its not rocket science. But they only look at the extra revenue coming from Council tax to be spent in central Wigan.
Still not sure why Wigan was forced into joining Greater Manchester. It would have been nice to hold a vote on this matter. I suspect they did not because it would not have given them the outcome they wanted. My suspicion is that we were added to GM in order to bolster there population stats and make them seem more worthy of government investment. Pretty sure HS2 was proposed around the same.
