HARRISBURG Two members of the Tyrone FFA qualified for national FFA competition by virtue of their first place finishes in the agriscience contest at the Pennsylvania Farm Show.
Catie Ewing placed first in plant systems and Alex Shock came out on top in animal systems, both for grades 9 and 10.
Results for other Tyrone FFA members include: Hailey Houck, Maverick Fleck and Jayden Day-Patterson, who captured second through fourth place in the plant systems category for ninth and 10th graders; Joshua and Nathaniel Patterson captured second place in teams of two in grades 9 and 10 while Elizabeth Buick captured third place and Emma Bartel captured fourth place in individuals in grades 11 and 12.
