Dropkick Murphys will celebrate St. Patrick's Day 2022 in their hometown of Boston via a free live stream event. Dropkick Murphys co-lead vocalist Ken Casey said: "After two years and four live streams with no audience, we are so, so, so excited to do our first live stream in front of a live audience. I think this will give people watching at home a much better feel of what it's like to see Dropkick Murphys in our element. " The March 17th performance is part of Dropkick Murphys' yearly run of St. Patrick's Day-week hometown shows in Boston. This year's shows include three shows at House Of Blues, and one at Roadrunner, Boston's newest concert venue. So you can t head out to hear live Irish music on St. Patrick s day this year, but you can watch a great Irish band, the Dropkick Murphys, perform virtually.
Keeping with their annual tradition, the Irish punksters who got their start in 1996 in the basement of a barbershop in Quincy s Wollaston neighborhood will perform a free livestream show to commemorate the patron saint of Ireland.
Titled “Still Locked Down,” the Blarney blowout gets underway at 7 p.m. March 17 and can be viewed at www.DKMstream.com.
Fans can expect the usual mix of energy and Shamrock shenanigans from the band. The location of the concert is unknown, but a press release indicates the band will be performing on an arena-sized stage with a full LED screen and it will also feature a new video show.
