Lt Gen Hassan bin Mohsen al Shraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, has issued a decision to amend the executive regulations of the Civil Status Law allowing expat resident cards to be valid for three years instead of two. The decision also makes it mandatory for the issuance of the Civil Identity Cards for citizens and Resident Cards for expatriates within thirty days from the date of the person reaching the age of ten years.
