Viewers will find inspiration in the heroism of volunteer firefighters as
Angel Locsin visits the Central Fil-Chinese Fire Rescue and Civic Welfare Association Inc. this Sunday Linggo on “Iba Yan,” 6:30 PM on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Jeepney TV.
This volunteer fire brigade is one of the civic groups that have been helping the Bureau of Fire Protection as it grapples with the lack of firefighters in the country.
It was founded by Filipino-Chinese businessman Henry Sin in 2015, as personal advocacy after suffering a heart attack. Many have already been inspired by his mission, including his own son Hendrick, who is now the brigade’s fire chief. As of today, the group has 25 volunteer members.
