Rayleigh, Rochford and Hockley car parking prices to increase | Braintree and Witham Times

Visitors to Rochford will face more costly parking costs from next month. Rochford District Council has confirmed the prices at 11 car parks across Rayleigh, Rochford and Hockley will be increased from April 1. The price to park in the Old Ship Lane, Websters Way, Mill Hall, Hockley Road, Castle Road, Bellingham Lane, Back Lane, Southend Road, Civic Suite and Bradley Way car parks have been increased by 10p from 60p for a half-hour stay. Although no change has been made to the £1.20 rate to park for an hour, it will now cost £2 rather than £1.80 to remain any of the car parks for two hours.

Pic: Lewisham Council A brewery in Lewisham that employs and trains people with learning disabilities has been turned into a rapid Covid-19 test centre. The test centre at Ignition Brewery in Sydenham started offering Covid-19 tests to anyone without symptoms who must leave home for work from March 1. The opening times of the new centre are 9:30 am to 4 pm on a weekday and 9:30 am to 2 pm on the weekend, with evening appointments offered on Tuesday and Thursday.   You can book a rapid test here.  ‘Keeping Sydenham strong healthy’ The opening of the latest centre is another step to widen the accessibility for residents across the borough.
