POTSDAM – Potsdam Village trustees acted on several resolutions Monday which included setting franchise fees, reappointing housing authority board members and approving a fire agreement.
• The village board of trustees has approved an agreement with the Potsdam Fire Department for the period of June 1-May 31, 2022. The village will pay the department a stipend of $10,250 for fire services provided during this period.
• The village board of trustees has set a public hearing for Monday, June 21 at 4:15 p.m. to field comments on a proposed local law to amend Chapter 134 of the village code titled Rental Housing Safety. The hearing will be held in the Civic Center Board Room.

POTSDAM The Potsdam village board plans to hold two public hearings later this month to get input from residents on the village granting a cable television franchise to Spectrum Northeast LLC, and on a local law to allow chickens at village homes.
The public hearing regarding granting a cable television franchise agreement by and between the Village of Potsdam and Spectrum Northeast, LLC, an indirect subsidiary of Charter Communications will be held at 5:30 p.m.
The second hearing regarding the village’s proposed chicken law will be held immediately after at 5:45 p.m.
Both hearings will be held in the Civic Center Board Room, Park Street, Potsdam, New York. Copies of both laws are available for view at the clerk’s office.
